Enable App Launch Trigger

Want to reduce mindless scrolling? Set up challenges before opening specific apps.

What It Does

When you try to open a selected app (e.g., social media), a flashcard appears first. Answer correctly to proceed.

Requirements

  • Android 8.0 or higher
  • “Usage Access” permission granted

Setup Steps

  1. Open UnlockToLearn
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
  3. Find “App Launch Trigger”
  4. Enable the toggle
  5. Grant Usage Access permission if prompted
  6. Select apps to protect

Selecting Apps

  1. In App Launch Trigger settings, tap “Select Apps”
  2. Browse or search for apps
  3. Toggle on apps you want to protect
  4. Tap “Save”
  • Social media (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter)
  • Games
  • Entertainment apps
  • Any app you use as a distraction

Tips

  • Start with 2-3 apps
  • Add more as the habit builds
  • Combine with Sleep Mode for best results
