Setting Up Permissions

UnlockToLearn needs certain permissions to work properly. This guide explains each permission and why it’s needed.

The easiest way to set up all necessary permissions is to use the built-in setup wizard:

  1. Open UnlockToLearn
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Navigate to the Help section
  4. Tap on “Setup Triggers & Permissions”
  5. Follow the guided setup process

This wizard will walk you through all the necessary steps to configure your permissions correctly.

Manual Setup

If you prefer to set up permissions manually, or need to troubleshoot, here’s what each permission does:

Display Over Other Apps (Optional)

This permission allows the flashcard to appear when you unlock your device.

How to enable: Either via the in App settings or:

  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Go to Apps → UnlockToLearn
  3. Tap “Display over other apps”
  4. Enable the toggle

Usage Access (Optional)

Required only if you want to use the App Launch Trigger feature.

How to enable: Via the in App settings or:

  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Go to Security → Apps with usage access
  3. Find UnlockToLearn
  4. Enable the toggle
