Enable Unlock Trigger

The unlock trigger is UnlockToLearn’s core feature. Here’s how to set it up.

What It Does

Every time you unlock your phone, a flashcard appears. You must answer it (or skip it) before continuing to use your device.

Requirements

• Android 8.0 or higher
• “Display over other apps” permission granted

Setup Steps

1. Open UnlockToLearn
2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
3. Find “Unlock Trigger”
4. Enable the toggle
5. Grant required permissions if prompted

Customization Options

• Active decks: Choose which decks to learn from
• Skip delay: Set how long before the skip button appears
• Vibration: Enable haptic feedback

Troubleshooting

Flashcard not appearing?

• Check that the trigger is enabled
• Verify permissions are granted
• Make sure at least one deck has cards

Appearing too often?

• Enable Sleep Mode to set quiet hours
• Reduce the number of active decks
